Team
Invite teammates, assign roles, manage seats. Available on Business and Enterprise plans.
Team management lives at /app/settings?section=team. It's where the newsroom owner or admin invites people, assigns roles, and manages seat count.
Business and Enterprise only
Solo Individual plans don't have team management. Upgrade to Business if you need to share a workspace.

See Roles overview for the full permission matrix.
Titles vs roles
HermesAI distinguishes roles (permissions) from titles (presentation). Editor-in-chief, Managing editor, Desk editor, Reporter are titles you assign to people for display purposes; the role determines what they can actually do.
A "Desk editor" title can be paired with role member (default) or admin (if they need to manage monitoring).
Inviting teammates
Open Team settings
/app/settings?section=team. Owner and admin only.
Click Invite member
Enter the teammate's email, choose a role and a title, and send the invite.
Teammate accepts
They receive an email, sign in (or create their HermesAI account), and land in your workspace.
Confirm role and title
Newly accepted invites appear in the team list. You can adjust role or title later.
Removing teammates
Open the team list
Each member shows their role, title, last active, and pending review count.
Click Remove
Their access ends immediately. Drafts they own remain in the workspace; you can reassign owners on those drafts.
At least one owner
The workspace must always have at least one owner. The last owner cannot be removed; transfer ownership first.
Seat math (Business plans)
5 seats included
Both Business Plus and Business Pro ship with 5 seats in the base price.
Add seats per editor
€15 per extra seat on Plus, €39 on Pro. Each extra seat adds capacity to the shared monthly AI envelope.
Seat = unique person
One seat per active teammate. Viewers count as seats.
→ See Billing for how seats interact with capacity.
Editorial assignments
Beyond roles, you can scope editorial review per desk:
Create or pick a desk
Desks group beats and assign reviewer ownership. By default, every workspace has a single "Newsroom" desk.
Assign reviewers to a desk
Reviewers (members with editorial assignment, plus admins and owners) can be tied to one or more desks. Drafts routed to a desk show in the assigned reviewers' boards.
Set defaults
Optional: set a default reviewer for each desk so submissions auto-route.
Desk scope
Desk assignment is metadata for routing. It does not enforce hard isolation — admins and owners can review any draft regardless of desk.
